Hi, I'm Tricia. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about the person who will be photographing your baby. I started my newborn portrait business, McLelland Photography, nine years ago in my hometown of Oakville. I left the corporate world to focus on newborn photography full-time.

We design our newborn sessions for babies between 3 days and 6 weeks old.
This age range supports safe posing, sleepy images, and the gentle workflow Toronto families know us for.

Book your newborn session during your second trimester to secure your preferred date. Our studio offers a limited number of sessions each month.
When choosing your date, select a spot 2–3 weeks after your due date. If you’re scheduling a c-section, choose a date when your baby will still be under 6 weeks old. We schedule sessions this way so we can pose your baby safely and capture the relaxed, sleepy images families love.
If your baby has already arrived or you haven’t booked yet, please reach out. We occasionally have last-minute openings.

If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, don’t worry — we can adjust your session date.
Once your baby arrives, we pick a new session time within the six-week window.
We’ll guide you through the next steps and make sure everything stays on track.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. Tricia is Oakville’s first APNPI-accredited posed newborn photographer. She completed specialized training in newborn safety, gentle handling, and best practices for babies under six weeks.
Our studio follows strict safety and hygiene protocols, including:

• Frequent hand sanitizing
• Medical-grade air purifiers running in each room
• Props, wraps, outfits, and all surfaces fully sanitized between clients
• A warm, baby-led environment designed to keep newborns comfortable and supported
We follow a strict wellness policy. If you, your baby, or anyone in your household is sick — or if we are — we reschedule your session. Toronto families appreciate this extra level of care because it helps create the safest environment for your newborn.

Newborn sessions take place weekday mornings, when babies are naturally sleepier and more settled. Session availability varies depending on the package you choose:
• Silver Session: 9:00 am or 11:00 am
• Gold & Platinum Sessions: 9:00 am
Once you book your newborn session online, our Studio Manager will reach out to you. She’ll walk you through what to expect, how to prepare, and how the session will flow. She’s your main point of contact and is always happy to answer questions.

Our full-service newborn studio provides everything for your session, including:
