We photograph newborns up to 6 weeks of age. While many photographers limit sessions to the first two weeks, our calm, baby-led approach allows us to work comfortably with older newborns as well.

We recommend reserving your newborn session during pregnancy, ideally in your second or early third trimester. Most families book 3–4 months in advance, which allows us to plan your session and hold space around your due date.

If your baby has already arrived, you’re welcome to check availability — occasional last-minute openings may appear depending on scheduling.

That’s okay. Newborn sessions are booked on a specific date, and we understand that babies don’t always follow the calendar. If you deliver earlier or later than expected, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll discuss any available options for a potential schedule adjustment, depending on studio availability.

Your baby’s comfort and safety are always our top priority. Tricia is the first photographer in Oakville accredited by the Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International (APNPI), having completed specialized training in safe newborn posing techniques.

Sessions are fully baby-led, unhurried, and carefully supported, with composite images used when needed to ensure babies are safely positioned at all times. Our studio is equipped with high-quality air filtration in every room, and all props and items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each session. Tricia and our Studio Manager, Anita, continue to wear face masks during sessions, and all clients complete a health agreement prior to arrival to ensure a safe studio environment for everyone.

Our studio is open weekdays for newborn photography sessions. Session timing depends on the package you choose, as babies are typically most settled and sleepy earlier in the day.

Silver Package: 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. (weekdays)
Gold & Platinum Packages: 9:00 a.m. (weekdays)

06.

Very little. Just yourselves, your newborn, and anything you’d normally have in your diaper bag. Our studio is fully stocked with a curated collection of props, outfits, and setups for newborn sessions.

Prior to your appointment, our Studio Manager, Anita, will connect with you to ensure you’re fully prepared and answer any questions you may have, so you can arrive feeling confident and relaxed.

Each newborn package includes a fully guided studio session, professional retouching, and a set number of final digital images based on the package you choose. There is also the option to purchase additional edited digital images, as well as albums, prints, and canvas wall art if you’d like to further customize your collection.

Please note that unedited images are not provided, as all final images reflect our finished artistic style and quality standards.
