For this session, their sweet baby boy arrived at 24 days new (nearly 4 weeks old). He looked absolutely beautiful in every setup we photographed. Our Platinum Newborn Session is our most complete and custom experience. It allows families to relax and enjoy a smooth, guided session. A typical Platinum Newborn Session produces 60+ proofing images, giving parents a full and varied gallery.
With the Platinum package, you receive:
– 20 fully edited jpeg images of your choice
– plus one signature composite jpeg image
Parents can purchase additional images or composites if they wish. Many families choose to upgrade to the Platinum Session because of the variety we capture in both the family and newborn-only portions of the session.
We also see parents choosing about half of their final images from the family portion. The remaining selections usually come from the baby’s individual setups. This balance creates a well-rounded gallery that includes both family and newborn portraits.
One of the best parts is the convenience. We provide everything needed for your baby — props, buckets, wraps, fabrics, headbands, bonnets, knits, and accessories. You only need to bring yourselves, your baby, and your baby’s diaper bag with the essentials.

We begin every session with the family photos. These portraits take place in our bright and airy white room setup. We use this same setup for all studio family sessions because it creates a timeless and consistent look.
Your baby stays fully wrapped during this portion so we can move easily through several family poses.

– Free of bold colours, busy patterns, or logos
We also welcome extended family members, including grandparents, for an additional fee. These generational portraits are meaningful and always cherished.
For new moms who want something beautiful to wear, we offer a curated selection of maternity gowns for rental during the session. These gowns flatter beautifully, feel comfortable, and work perfectly for postpartum. You choose your gown ahead of time so we can have it ready and steamed when you arrive.
This setup creates timeless and elegant family portraits that pair beautifully with the newborn images.
2. Newborn-Only Portraits (3 to 6 Setups)
After the family photos, we move into the newborn-only portion. A Platinum Session includes 3 to 6 custom setups, plus one composite image. Your baby always guides the pace, and we follow their cues.
Some babies enjoy all six setups. Others settle comfortably into three or four. Every now and then, we meet a baby who is extra calm — like this little boy from Burlington. He was so relaxed that we added a 7th setup and included an additional outfit change. This is rare because we normally offer only one outfit change to avoid overstimulating baby.
Our workflow progresses through three styles:
– Wrapped
– Semi-wrapped
– Unwrapped
This approach creates a varied gallery while keeping your baby safe, warm, and comfortable.
3. Custom Props & Colour Palette
Every setup is customized to the palette you choose during booking. For this family, that included soft blues, gentle greens, and neutral tones styled in a clean and classic way.
We style every detail with intention and a professional eye to create a perfectly cohesive gallery.
4. Signature Composite Image
Each Platinum Session includes one specialty composite image. A composite allows us to place your baby into imaginative scenes — like the moon, seasonal setups, or artistic themed environments — without compromising safety. These images are always client favourites, and this level of creativity helps set our work apart.
